State Wars VI Wraps Up!
Darien, Illinois - Congratulations to each of the 13 Canadian teams that participated in State Wars VI!
A total of 3 medals made its way back across the border (Gold - Alberta 93AAA, Silver - BC 94AAA, Bronze-Alberta 92AAA) which adds to the total medal count over the past two seasons Canada has been attending State Wars.

BC Summer Games
The 2010 BC Summer Games are set to kick off in Langley July 22-25, 2010. Inline hockey marks a return to the games for the first time since 2006.
6 Provincial Zone teams have been selected around the province and will be competing for the medals in this prestigious event.

Climbing up the Ladder; Canada 4th in World Ran...
Karlstad, Sweden - Team Canada raised eyebrows and made the international inline hockey scene take notice in their 7-6 Bronze Medal loss against Sweden at the IIHF World Inline Hockey Championships.
This was the first time since 1998 that Canada had the opportunity to come back to North America with a medal around their necks after a 10 year absence from the event.
Sweden came into the Bronze Medal game as the favorite as they were looking to take their 4th straight Gold Medal this season until they were upset by the Czech Republic in the Semi-Final.

3 YEARS IN THE MAKING, 3 TIME CHAMPIONS IN T...
Karlstad, Sweden - The day is here. Team Canada is set to play for their first medal at the IIHF World Championships since 1998. Led by members of that '98 squad, Gerry St. Cyr and Victor Gervais, the 2010 National Team has overcome all odds to be in the position they are right now.
Entering the tournament as the 7th seed out of 8 in the Top Division, Team Canada proved over and over that they are a determined, underestimated team.
A shootout win against rival Germany and a massive upset against Finland has set up this fateful moment.

TEAM CANADA PREPARES FOR MEDAL GAME!
Karlstad, Sweden - Team Canada will be playing for the Bronze Medal tomorrow from Lofsberg Lila Arena, marking the first time that the National Team Program will have an opportunity to bring hardware home from the Top Division at the IIHF World Inline Hockey Championships.
Coming into the event this year, Team Canada was ranked 7th in the world and faced a very strong Pool including USA, Germany and Czech Republic. After a see-saw round robin that saw teams battle for every point, Canada placed as the 3rd seed using a comeback shootout win against Germany to its maximum.

Karlstad, Sweden - A simple answer for a simple question from Thomas Woods when asked what it will take for Team Canada to beat the USA today in the semifinals of the IIHF World Inline Hockey Championships.
This is the first time Team Canada has advanced to the Semi-Finals at this event, guaranteeing that they will play for a medal tomorrow. The goal is to make that the GOLD medal game.
Team Canada faced the Americans in their first game as a team, losing 7-3. NIHA.ca took a minute with Chris Terry to chat about his heroic performance in the quarterfinals, what Team Canada learned from their first match against the US as well as the Revision Variant Gold wheels he rocked while netting 4 goals yesterday.

TERRY LEADS TEAM CANADA INTO THE SEMI’S!!
Karlstad, Sweden - Team Canada showed their grit and determination once again today in the Quarter Final match against Finland.
A see-saw first quarter saw Canada jump into an early lead with back to back goals pushing Canada up 3-1. In a 93 second span, the game turned dramatically. One power play goal and two regular strength goals in that time frame had Finland pushing back to take the lead at 4-3. The goal just kept on coming and the first half ended 6-6 with Canada scoring near the period.
The second half was all Team Canada as the boys jumped out to a quick start scoring the first goal of the half and continuing strong after that. CANADA FINISHES 3RD IN POOL; FINNS TODAY IN QF
After a tough loss for the final round robin game against the Czechs on Wedensday, Team Canada finished 3rd in Pool A putting them through to the Quarterfinals later today.
Thursday of the IIHF World Championships is either a team's easy day or the hardest one they'll have at the tournament. By avoiding the cross-over games and potential automatic relegation, Team Canada was able to use Thursday as a rest-day to focus on today's 2:00 PM puckdrop against Finland.
